Bed bugs plague in tourist area (Anecpla)

23/08/2019

There is a strong increase of bed bugs presence in locations with a large tourist affluence in Spain, where the supply of private lodgings for travellers, such as Airbnb, does not stop growing. The absence of hygiene protocol in this type of accommodation favours the appearance and proliferation of these small parasitic insects, whose presence is associated, not so much with the lack of cleanliness, as with the increase in the traffic of people and goods.

ANECPLA, the Spanish pest managers association, calls for pest control measures in this type of accommodation and recalls the importance of these being carried out by professionals with the right knowledge and skills.
