The population of Asian wasp keeps increasing every year. Specifically, in Galicia, one of the most affected communities, the number of nests detected so far is skyrocketing.This aggressive invasive species is a wild predator of bees, posing a great danger to the ecosystem, but also to the health of people and animals . In 2019, two people died after being stung.
Several public administrations are neglecting the pest management sector when solving this kind of crucial issues.
